How A Fountain of Spit Taught Me Why Adsense Templates Don’t Work!

The sign on the door said AAA. This had to be it. I inched the door open and was instantly overcome by a tsunami sound wave of chanting: YES SIR! ADCENT FIXMASTER SIR! YES SIR! ADCENT FIXMASTER SIR!

Whoa! What had I gotten myself into? What was this, some kinda cult?

Alright I’ll admit it. I’m an addict–an adsense junkie! But it was counseling I needed not some nutters’ army! I tried to ease my way out without being noticed, but too late, the bald dude on the podium noticed me. He beckoned me forward with a flick of his hand. I approached cautiously and started up the steps but he practically shoved me back. I could see why, he couldn’t have been an inch over five foot; I’d tower over him if we stood side by side–not the best situation if you’re trying to be an effective commanding officer. Commanding officer–huh? I guess the atmosphere was contagious.

“NAME?” he bellowed.
“Marc Ting,” I replied somewhat timidly.
“SAY WHAT?” he barked showering me with a fine mist spray of spittle.
“MARC K. TING, SIR!” I shot back. But apparently that was not good enough. He glared at me as his face chameleoned through various shades of red before settling on a beetroot hue. For a second there I thought he was about to smack me. I guess the same thought must have crossed his mind because he abruptly turned his attention to the rest of the troop.

Business Ideas for the Entrepreneur

Monday 2 June 2008 @ 8:46 am

by Bob Mateer

Wouldn’t you prefer to have a home-based job rather than working eight hours each day in the office? Maybe you would like to try franchising; this may sound good but there are other ways to become a successful entrepreneur. You should consider other business ideas that you can venture into.

Researching these days is easy because of the internet. When you do your search online, you can find other business ideas that you can use as an entrepreneur. Beginners will benefit a lot from the information they can find online about business ideas.

You might find many business ideas online, but it will be hard to choose the ones you like. It’s easy to choose if you use your instincts. For instance, if one business idea feels right, take note of it but if you have second thoughts about another idea, disregard it.

As an entrepreneur, you should investigate further by gathering as much information as possible about the business ideas. True enough, owning a franchise is absolutely a great idea. If you choose this business alternative, you can be the boss of your own business and you can earn unlimited income.

However, according to experts, franchise and other internet businesses promise the same business opportunities. It will all differ on how you handle the business.

Not all individuals who desire to own a business can achieve this goal. You see, being an entrepreneur is hard. There are a lot of factors to consider before you decide to become an entrepreneur. Even if you have the capital to finance the business undertaking, you can’t be sure that it can give you high profits in the future especially if you don’t know how to handle certain business situations.

First and foremost, you must be able to work alone. Once you’re an entrepreneur, you’re already self-employed. It would also be best if you can have the support of your loved ones.

Here is a very good example. As mentioned earlier, further investigation is needed to evaluate the business ideas that you have in your hands. Starting a business from scratch requires a lot of work. Suppose the business that you’re about to put up is also available in franchise, which business idea will you choose?

For the smart entrepreneurs, they will already go for franchising because it requires less work. An established business undertaking is less expensive and less risky. But before you make a final decision, you must be able to weigh all the advantages as well as disadvantages. This is an essential part of choosing the best business idea.

Once you’ve chosen the right business idea, you can spring it into action. Soon enough, you will gain the financial benefits that you’re dreaming of. Whether you choose to start your own business or go for franchising, the most important thing is to develop goodwill. All the actions of the entrepreneur must be focused in attaining all the objectives of the business.

If you want to become an entrepreneur, you must research all the business ideas that you can get online. The internet can help you a lot. Also, don’t forget to develop the needed traits and skills as an entrepreneur.

You can get many resources through the internet or you can talk to an established entrepreneur so that you will have an idea on what you’re about to undertake.

Build Wealth From Home

As you sit in traffic, inching along between irate drivers, you think to yourself, “there must be a better way.” You get to work, you endure another tirade from an incompetent boss, and you think, “there must be a better way.” You work hard, you’re underappreciated, underpaid, and fed up. After all this, you can barely pay the bills, and haven’t taken a real vacation in years.

There must be a better way.

Now there is!

You can be your own boss, work from home, and earn more money than you ever thought possible.

Benefits of Working At Home

Many people have a romantic vision of working at home, doing chores while making money, working at their own pace, sipping coffee poolside with laptop nearby. For most people, that dream will never come true because of unrealistic expectations and poor planning. But all of the potential benefits of working at home are in fact possible to achieve, if you choose the right business and plan properly.

How do you choose the right business? First, you must avoid a retail business where customers expect you to be available during normal business hours; it means avoiding a business that requires stocking or shipping products; and it means avoiding a business that requires any serious degree of production, which is usually not practical in a home environment. So what’s left?

Fishing For Ezine Subscribers

Wednesday 12 March 2008 @ 10:35 am

by David Leonhardt

The Bible tells the tale of the fishermen who were just not catching a thing. Jesus came along and told them to cast their nets on the other side of the boat, which they did. Surprise! They caught so many fish their nets began to tear.

Jesus had a strategy. He thought outside the box. And he knew where to go. Of course, when you’re God, you tend to know a lot of things.

What about fishing for ezine subscribers? Don’t expect Jesus to tell you where to cast your subscription net. You will have to build some other strategy. In the meantime, here are the six steps I used to grow my free online Happy Class ( http://thehappyguy.com/self-actualization-happy-class.html ) list by 27 last night, and my Daily Dose of Happiness (http://thehappyguy.com/daily-happiness-free-ezine.html) by 10.

Step # 1: Sign up for Subscription Rocket ( http://thehappyguy.com/SR.html ) and install the code on every page of your web site. SR is a small pop-under offering your visitors free subscriptions to newsletters. Unlike some pop-ups, this pop-under is unobtrusive and nobody has ever complained. Every time the screen pops under your site, your ezine pops under four other similar sites. Most of my ezine subscribers had never even heard of me or visited my site before they signed up.

Affiliate Income Optimization

Wednesday 12 March 2008 @ 10:29 am

by Sean Burns

In my time researching the search engines, I’ve noticed something rather strange. Literally millions of searches are made each month for “brand names” and actual site names. For example, on Overture alone, last month, there were millions of queries made for the term “internet explorer”. Having been on the internet for around seven years (running sites for over five), I’ve naturally assumed that people use it the same way I do. So, I know that internet explorer is a Microsoft product so I just type http://www.microsoft.com into my browser.

Apparently, that’s not what everyone does. Here are some other examples from Overture: eBay - over 7 million searches, Google - over 9 million searches, Amazon - Over 800 thousand searches (OK, lots will be for the river or the forest but still …), PayPal over 340 thousand searches and so on. Considering that Overture has only about 5% of the search engine market, you can see that there are millions and millions of people who actually use search engines to find sites when they could just type the name in their browser and slap a .com on the end.

Now, on to the good stuff. Of those companies that I mentioned, all but Google have an affiliate program. For example, PayPal pays $5.00 for every person who signs up. 340 000 x $5.00= $1 700 000. Interesting!
